Stewart Wayne Tanner

Stewart Wayne Tanner passed away peacefully at his home in Pine River, Manitoba on February 27, 2018 at the age of 69.

Wayne is survived by three children, Rhonda, Mona & Wayne Jr; 6 grandchildren, Georgina, Ashton, Allison, Austin, Aiden & Summer; 6 great grandchildren, Alexis, Kalya, Derrick, Hayden, Jack & Leeland; brother George (Karen); sister Deloris (Louie), Pauline, Belinda (Roger), Stella (Jim) and a niece that was raised with the family,  Sandra (Emery) her children Kolt & Hope and grandchildren Aaliyah and Ariyah; sister-in-law Linda; extremely special niece Carla and her son Hunter.

Wayne spent 50 years in the trucking industry, 25 of those years with Merit Transport in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  At the time of his passing, he was employed with Olsen Buffalo Farms in Pine River, Manitoba.

As per Wayne’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be

So he put his arms around you and took you home

A golden heart stopped beating

Hard working hands to rest

It broke our hearts to see you go

God only takes the Best.
