Amelia Dankewych Obituary
The family of Amelia Dankewych announces her sudden, but peaceful passing at St. Boniface Hospital, Friday, December 27th, 2019.
Amelia was born in Verovitica, Yugoslavia on May 21st, 1928. She was the only child of Franz and Regina Schaffhauser. She was predeceased by her parents.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 67 years, Walter, and their children: Lydia (Axel), Sonja, Walter (Terrina), Jeannette (Randall), also her grandchildren: Joe, Morgan, Heidi, Brittney, Matthew, Kylie and Jaxon. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be offered on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 7:00 pm from Sts Volodymyr and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral on McGregor Street.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held for Amelia on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:00 am also from Sts Volodymyr and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael Buyachok celebrating.
Vichnaya Pamyat
Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery.
