Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Blake

Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Blake, age 63, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital due to her battle with lung cancer.  She was born on August 24, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  She married her long-time friend and love, David Windeatt, in 2015.

Debbie showered those close to her with all her love, loyalty and wisdom, She baked custom birthday cakes that were constantly the envy of those that saw them.  She was always using her amazing creativity by doing some sort of hobby or craft and she could never hide her smile when taking care of her plants and flowers.  Her hands were rarely still.

For many years, Debbie helped her husband (David) and her oldest son (Shawn) run the family business by managing all administrative duties.  Her leadership and problem-solving abilities allowed the business to succeed and grow.

Religiously, her favorite saint was Saint Michael, the Archangel.

“Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.  Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.  Amen.”

Debbie is survived by her husband David Windeatt; children: Shawn Hanischuk (Charlotte Connelly), Tara Leippi, Dale Hanischuk (Maria Felisa Carandang-Hanischuk) and Cory Windeatt; grandchildren: Austin Hanischuk, Katie Hanischuk, Colby Hanischuk, Jennelle Leippi,  Nathan Leippi and Kaylee Hanischuk; and her two beautiful dogs, Kona and Jordan.
