Ernie passed away on Saturday June 1, 2019 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg.
Ernie is survived by his daughter Shani, Oliveira, grandchildren Kyle (Trish) Brady and Kallee, as well as brother Jack (Stella), sister Ollie and his special loyal friend Sylvia Dyck and his very good friends Doug and Olivia and his ex-wife Beverley. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Mike, Peter, Steve and Wally and sisters Anne, Jean, Marie and Molly.
Ernie was born and raised in Sandy Lake, Manitoba. He was the 11th of 12 children. The family moved to Winnipeg where he started working for C.N. Rail, retiring in 1990.
He was a long-time member of the Wellness Institute. At the Wellness Centre, he enjoyed his work out regime and the time socializing with many of his workout friends.
Graveside service will be held at Holy Family Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. on Friday June 7, 2019.
