Joslyn Daniels

Our father Joslyn Daniels, 82, of Winnipeg Manitoba, passed peacefully to meet his lord and saviour Jesus Christ.  Although we grieve for his presence with us, we take comfort knowing that he is with the Lord.

Dad was the eldest of three children, born September 27, 1937 in Bartica Guyana to Harold Whitehead and Muriel Daniels. 

Dad married the love of his life Mayfield Sampson, of whom he remained faithfully married to for 46 years.  Dad and Mayfield had two children and immigrated to Canada in 1973.

Dad was employed at Pioneer Electric for over 30 years until his retirement.

Dad was a stern man of high character, strong work ethic and high morals.  He would give the shirt off his back to those in need.

Dad loved the Lord, his wife, his children, grandchildren, gardening, sports, Red Sorrel and a cold bitter glass of Maubey.

Dad is survived by his loving wife Mayfield, his son Colin (Rosa) of Thunder Bay Ontario, his daughter Maxine (Melvin) of Indianapolis Indiana, his brother Milton Jones of Bear Delaware, his grandchildren Denzel, Serena, Dante’, Devon and several nieces and nephews.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Yvonne Jones.

Our family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Health Sciences Centre. We express sincere thanks to our family and friends for their support and prayers during this difficult time of which we are sincerely grateful.

Funeral Services will be held at Willow Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday December 26, 2019.
