Judith "Judy" Branconnier Obituary

“On December 22, 2019, my journey here ended and now it’s on to a new adventure.

This journey started with my parents, Paul and Shirley Bauman, who provided a wonderful childhood for my brother Dave, sister Sharon, and me.

Then I was fortunate enough to marry my high school sweetheart and best friend Ron in 1974, and we have four beautiful daughters: Cara (Gary), Renee (Shawn), Erin (Andy), and Hayley (Chaz). Now we have the greatest gift of all – grandchildren: Brayden, Evan, Leanda, Lyric, Lyla, Archer, and our littlest sunshine Juliana. Just hearing their names lights up my heart.

After graduating from the Faculty of Education, I was lucky enough to pursue a career I loved spanning over forty years, working with kids from kindergarten all the way up to high school. Youth really are our hope for the future.

Ron and I shared lots of camping adventures with our family in younger years, which I am happy to say they have all embraced with their own families. Later, we pursued our passion for hiking with trips to BC and the Yukon, and canoe trips around Lake of the Woods and the experimental lake areas of Ontario. In August 2019 we fulfilled our dream of exploring Nova Scotia. Our last true camping spot is our cottage at Rice Lake, Ontario where I go to unwind, be at peace, and be closer to what is really important.

I must thank those who have supported me these last few difficult years: my steadfast husband Ron, my amazing daughters, sister Sharon and sister-in-law Deb, and my loyal friends Christina, Cathy, Georgette, and Allison. Thanks to you all for supporting me with encouragement, laughter, and love.

So what’s next? White shores… and beyond.

Namaste.”
