Mary Margaret Aileen Anderson (nee MacDonald)

December 5, 1926 – November 18, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Aileen Anderson, peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 92.

Aileen is survived by her children Karen (James), Kevin (Angie), Darlene (Ron), Colleen (Dave) ; grandchildren Lisa (Paul), Cindy, Mindy (Arthur), Holly (Steve), Daniel, Roberta (Barrett), Geoffrey (Mercedes), Amanda (Patrick); and great-grandchildren Bradlee, Jaden, Cloe, Jacob, Sophia, Emily, Adrienne, Presley, and Isabelle; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Morris, her parents Hortense and Alexander, as well as siblings Marion, Donald, and Roy.

Aileen was born in Pembroke, Ontario. Growing up she loved going to dances at the local army base. While in her 20s she met the love of her life at a church dance, they married and had a beautiful family which she always held close to her heart. When her husband passed in 1980, she remained ever faithful to his memory, spoke of him often, and always awaited the day they would be reunited.

Aileen had a way of always making you laugh. She had a great sense of humour and was always ready to have a party with friends and family. Family was very important to her, and right up until her last days she always lit up whenever she had family come to visit.

The past couple years were hard for her once her health began to fail, and she needed to leave her home and move to a care facility. However, she remained strong and positive, patiently waiting until the Lord called her back to Him, and to her one true love Morris.

The family would like to offer many thanks to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home who have provided such great care to Aileen. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday November 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street.  Interment to follow  at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Maples Personal Care Home or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
