Olga (Olha) Beley (Bilicz)
September 2, 1923 – September 28, 2019
With sadness the family announces the passing of Olga Beley on September 28, 2019. Olga was born in Biala Podlaska, Ukraine and came to Canada with her husband Mychajlo (Michael) in 1950. Olga and her husband were true entrepreneurs starting and managing two different businesses: Hoverla Company Ltd. and later Art Bookbindery and Stationary Ltd. Olga, also known as the “boss lady of Art Bookbindery”, was a devoted mother and wife who participated in Ukrainian community life and enjoyed spending time with her husband and son (Bohdan), at their Victoria Beach cottage. Her love of cottage life continued for many decades where weekends were filled with family, friends, food and fun. Olga is predeceased by her mother (Tekla) and father (Mykola) Bilicz, sister (Irka), brother (Ostap), husband (Mychajlo) and son (Bohdan). Olga is survived by her sister (Olena). Mourning her passing are her grand-daughters – Natassia (Dillon) and Emma (Stefan), daughter-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Actionmarguerite (Taché Centre) for their care for Olga over the last number of years. Funeral service will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street at 11:00 am on October 5th, 2019 with the Very Rev. Archpriest Eugene Maximiuk officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 4515 Main Street (West Saint Paul, Manitoba). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Olga’s memory to the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre (Oseredok), 184 Alexander Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R3B 0L6.
