Rosie Rutka Obituary
Peacefully, Rose passed away on Friday, November 9th at the age of 93.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Bill; parents, Maria and Lawrence Zigarlick; sisters, Jennie, Bessie, Katie, Caroline, and Julia; and brothers, John and Joe. She is survived by her sister Victoria of Abbotsford, BC, and by many nieces and nephews.
Rose grew up in Carrick, Manitoba, where she met her husband Bill. They lived and worked in Thunder Bay, Ontario, until they retired to the country life in Vita, Manitoba. Rose was a happy, welcoming person who was kind to all she met. We will miss you.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach.
Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vita, Manitoba, officiated by Deacon Leon Twerdun. Following the service, all are invited to a light lunch at the Vita Friendship Centre at 226 Home Street, Vita. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Arbakka. Pallbearers will be Martin Chobatar, David Machula, Ken Brausseur, Wayne Korchak, Dale Oliver, and Jason Oliver.
