Ann Gohl Obituary

With family by her side, Ann passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026 at the Riverview Health Centre In Winnipeg, MB.

Ann was born in Shoal Lake, MB to Mike & Josephine Macyshen and grew up in Oakburn, MB. She married Walter at a young age and worked on the family farm while caring for her children. She learned to cook, garden and can foods.

When she married her second husband Manfred, his love of travel quickly rubbed off on her. They enjoyed many vacations over the years to Mexico, Canada, the United States and Europe. She was quite the bargain shopper and loved to shop and return those same purchases when a better deal was found. Ann liked watching horror movies, listening to her grandkids’ stories, would giggle at their silly tactics and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Ann was an avid reader and loved learning. She would often get lost in the book store for hours. Although she was an intelligent woman, her thirst for knowledge never faded. As an adult, she returned to school to continue her education. She worked as a waitress, cashier and administrator in various dental offices.

In her golden years she married Karl. They enjoyed dining out, music, feeding the birds, midnight trips to Timmie’s and country drives. Her faith was her safe haven.

Ann was predeceased by her parents; daughter Marian; and her loving husband Karl. Left to mourn is her brother Larry (Mabel); her children, Adeline (Roger); Wayne (Dianne); Warren (Silvija); Lisse (Gary); grandchildren, Andrea; Melissa (Trevor); Joseph, Chelsea, Joshua, Brianna, Jared (Becca) and Jessie; great grandchildren, Angela and Zachary; nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

A funeral service for Ann will be held on Monday, July 27th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St., with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation
