Anna Friesen Obituary

Anna T. Friesen

(nee Loeppky)

1929-2023

With great sadness and wonderful memories, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother. She peacefully departed from us with family by her side on October 9, 2023, at the age of 94. Mom was born in the RM of Hanover on July 22, 1929, to Henry and Anna Loeppky. She is predeceased by her husband, Erdman and son, Gerry in addition to all of her siblings. She is survived by her children Shirley (Bob), Lenora (Laurie), Edna (Bill), Stanley (Brenda), Dennis (Kim), Angela (Ian), Carol (Jamie), and Rene (Hilda), as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and her special friends Rick and Hennie.

Mom enjoyed cooking and baking, tending to her enormous gardens on the farm, and spending time at the lake.

We will cherish our many memories of mom, especially when she would tease the grandkids with her crooked finger, and dress up as the Easter Bunny while they chased her around the farm yard. She will be dearly missed.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Hospital and Korban Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart & Stroke and/or Cancer Care.

At Mom’s request, there will be a private viewing and burial for the immediate family.
