Sadly, Barb has passed.
Peacefully, at home and in her own bed, Barb passed with grace and dignity. She was ready to let go and looked forward to what came next. Over the years, Barb's courageous battles with many serious health issues were truly remarkable.
Barb lived life passionately. She was proud of her Ukrainian heritage, and she maintained very close ties with her family living in Ukraine. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, gardening, and quilting and she loved animals. Barb was well known for her creative spirit and her hospitality. Many an afternoon was spent trying out new recipes and then sharing them with friends. Barb had a particular passion for sewing and quilting and spent many hours making beautiful, creative quilts which she gifted to others. Barb will also be remembered for her love of animals - especially dogs. Throughout her life, she always had a dog by her side. Each one was special and brought her endless joy.
Barb wanted to personally thank you again, Dr. Karen Braun - the BEST FAMILY PHYSICIAN EVER! Also, her personal thanks go to Dr. David Robinson and Dr. James Zacharias, both at HSC, for their expertise and compassion. They were always available for consultation and care.

"Think of me when you laugh, quilt a new project, dance or hug a dog." Barb

Private Observances have taken place according to Barb's wishes.
If friends so desire, a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Humane Society of choice, in Barb's memory, would be appreciated.
