We sadly announce that David Bernard BORSA 82 years had passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.
David was born in Steinbach on Dec.8th, 1942 to his parents Mike and Ann Borsa. He is predeceased by his wife Cecilia, both his parents, sister Cecelia, brother-in-law Walter Halayko, nephew Steven, and daughter-in-law Jodine. He is survived by his step-son Raymond Lacroix, granddaughters Lauren and Michelle, step-daughter Dolores Lacroix, and Halayko nephews and Family, Michael, Paul and Cindy, Peter and Gaylene, and Larry and Krista.
He grew up in Sarto, Manitoba and left at a young age to pursue work as a heavy equipment operator. He joined the Canadian Pacific Railway where he worked throughout Manitoba and Ontario on the Railway Section Gangs until he settled at the Transcona C.P. Rail Welding Plant. Upon retiring from C.P. Rail he worked as a School Bus Driver.
David married in 1973 to Cecilia with 2 children, as they lived in Winnipeg. He enjoyed entertaining many family and friends at home, going to local Dances, camping and playing cards. He vastly enjoyed the fishing and deer hunting trips with Ray. He enjoyed driving his granddaughters to Lockport for ice cream, till the last few years, as the girls lovingly called him Poppa.
After the passing of his wife he still continued to enjoy life as much as possible by driving out to see family and friends in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
