It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Derek Ronald Andrew Goring on June 5th, 2026, at the age of 53. 

Derek was born on Oct. 22, 1972 .  He is predeceased in death by his father, Robert (Bob Goring), his mother, (Mary Ann Goring nee Proulx), his Grandma, (Josephine Sanderson nee Proulx) and, adoptive dad, (Cyril Naylor).

He is survived by his aunt-adoptive step Mom, (Monique Naylor), son, Cory (Jess) and his three children, (Janae, C.J. and Serenity), Samantha (Lacie), Michael.  His siblings that survive Derek, brother, Michael Goring (Shelley)), sister - MaryAnn Erhardt (Jeb), and many nieces and nephews.

Derek was a true Winnipeg native having been born and lived his entire life in Winnipeg.  After formal schooling, he worked landscaping for McEwens.  Derek loved to fish and mechanic and modify his car. Spare moments in the summertime were spent at the beach. He loved his family dearly.  He will be missed by his family and close friends. 

A memorial service for Derek will be held on Friday, July 10th, at 2 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street, Winnipeg MB
