91 years old

Peacefully, on February 29, 2020, in the late afternoon, Metro passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home.  Born on August 19, 1928 in Weiden, Manitoba, Metro’s request for his final resting place is to be in Weiden.

He is survived by his nephews Ernie & Melvin Chuipka, Peter Hrushka; nieces Joan Pshibneski, Leona Solomon, Barbara Hedley, Sharon Hrushka and extended family.

Arrangements are as follows:

Prayers will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street on Friday March 6 at 7:00 pm

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rorketon, Manitoba on Saturday March 7 at 3:00 pm.

Interment will be at Weiden Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery in Weiden Manitoba.

Family wishes to express our thanks to Holy Family Nursing Home staff, nurses and Health Care Aides for their attention while in their care.

In dedication to his memory, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to CNIB Winnipeg.
