Obituary

Peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 Wayne Guimond passed.

Wayne was born on May 14, 1951 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He was the first Indigenous baby boy born at the Women’s Pavilion.

He enjoyed watching football, hockey, baseball, taking long walks, bike riding and playing “Sports Select”.  He loved dying his hair different colors; blonde, orange and was looking forward to dying his hair red.  Wayne was a long-time volunteer with Freight House and with the food bank. 

Wayne is survived by his daughter Stephanie Sinclair (Bart Stevens), grandchildren; Jonah (Rebecca), Joseph, Joshua, Drea.  Sister Donna.  Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife Janet Sinclair, daughters; Andrea and Melissa. Parents; Ruth and Gabriel Guimond.  Brother Berle, sisters; Deanna, Elma and Darlene.

Funeral Service for Wayne will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00am at Korban Funeral Chapel.
