Gladys Anne Rempel, of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Gladys was born on April 2, 1945 to Lucy and Emil LaLiberte in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She shared her childhood with six younger sisters, Iris, Phyllis, Mavis, Corliss, Lois and Janice.
Gladys is survived and missed by her daughters Tannis (Shelley), Brenda (Kristoffer), and Reanna (Gary). She was predeceased by her parents, sister Iris, daughter Cheryl and nephew Robbie. Gladys will be forever cherished and remembered by her grandchildren, Torrie
(David), Tamiko (Ryley), and Travis (Michelle); and her pride and joy, great grandchildren Ryker, Rosalie, Lochlan, Declan, and Cloud. She also has many loving cousins and friends who
miss her dearly.
Gladys lived in Flin Flon for many years, moving to various places across western Canada and eventually settled down in Winnipeg. She was proud of her work at the Flin Flon General Hospital, St. Anthony’s General Hospital in The Pas, and the Roblin District Health Centre in the
dietary departments until her retirement.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and above all, baking and cooking for family and friends.
Gladys loved spending time with her grandchildren, and when they had children of their own, she was overjoyed to spend time with her five great grandchildren. She loved finding a special toy that one of them would be excited about, or to bake cookies or muffins when another was
coming for a visit. She loved watching them play together and enjoyed all the hugs she got from them.
A memorial service will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St in Winnipeg on April 2, 2026 at 2:00pm.
