Ihor Kolisnyk was born on September 2nd, 1967 in Ukraine, Ternopil Province. He is the son of Petro and Oksana Kolisnyk. His brother Vasyl, lives in Ukraine
After high school, he studied at Krements Technical College for 3 years. After graduating college, Ihor worked as a Forest Technician in his village until 2009.
In 1993, Ihor got married to Halyna, with whom they raised two sons: Roman and Oleh
In 2009, Ihor and his family immigrated to Canada. Since then, they were living in the city of Winnipeg.
He worked as an auto mechanic at “Capital Auto Repair” for 12 years.
Ihor was a very good, positive, and friendly person. He loved helping everyone who needed help.
He was a loving and caring husband and father.
In his free time, Ihor loved gardening, fishing, and beekeeping.
Ihor attended Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral.
Prayers and Viewing will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 6:00pm at Korban Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00am at Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral with Rev. Ihor Shved officiating.
Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery following the funeral.
