Irene passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital to be with Jesus! Just 9 days shy of her 79th birthday!

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Roger, Paul, Jean (Linda), Yvette, Edith, and Lucille; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her friends, especially Vince, Anne and JoAnne, with The People of Peace Community.

Irene was a dietary aide at Central Park Lodge for many years. Her favourite pass time was reading good mystery books and going out for a meal! She travelled quite often, with different friends, taking cruises, going to a Christian Conference at Norte Dame University and Pensacola, Florida, seeing Niagara Falls and visiting her friend, Inez, in P.E.I., driving to Butte, Montana to see “Our Lady of the Rockies”.

She loved spending time visiting family and friends! She was a faithful prayer partner who loved her faith and being a member of St Joseph’s Parish.

Prayers will be held Thursday, April 18th at 7:00 pm from Korban Funeral Chapel (907 Main St., Winnipeg, MB). Funeral mass will take place Friday, April 19th at 11:00 am from Parish of St. Joseph (355 Andrews St., Winnipeg, MB) with father Bo Wardzinski officiating.

Internment will take place at a later date
