It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ivan Richard Davis, who was born on September 11, 1962, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Boniface Hospital.
Ivan is now reunited with his beloved mother Mary Davis and Henry, his brothers Kelly, Big Joe, Shallow and Leo, his sisters Melinda, Mary Jane and Deanna, his aunt and uncle Adele and Donald Baptiste, who lovingly took him in as a baby and raised him as their own. His in-laws Mary, Jim, Brad, and Shirley. He also joins many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who went before him.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Wanda; his daughters Pamela (Patrick) and Danielle; and his treasured grandchildren Kenton, Quinn, and Bodhi; as well as his grandpets, Sylvester, Eevee, and Po. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Chris (Linda), Sheridee, Pearl “Buffy,” Kimberly “Boo Boo” (Jason), Marie, Susie, Elaine (John), Isaac, and Warren. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Kelly, Linda, Melissa, Craig, Jennifer, Akacia, Holland, Tori, Jaylee, Dylan, Mathew, Sarah, and Marcus, and many other nieces and nephews. Ivan also leaves behind his special friend and brother, Claude Guimond, as well as his golfing friends from the Oakwood Hackers.
A wake service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00–10:00 PM at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where light refreshments will be served.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, family and friends are invited to gather at the chapel in Ste. Rose du Lac at 5:00 PM to accompany Ivan on his final ride home to Ebb and Flow. A wake service will follow at the Ebb and Flow Community Complex.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Ebb and Flow Community Complex. Interment will follow at the Ebb and Flow First Nations Cemetery, with a meal to be shared afterward at the Ebb and Flow Community Complex.
