Jodine Lacroix Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jodine Marie LACROIX (nee Otto) had peacefully passed away on February 15th, 2022.  She is survived by her Husband-Raymond, and Daughters Lauren and Michelle, her Mother Fran Otto, Sister-in-law Dolores, Father-in-Law Dave, and "Pugsley" the Cat. She was predeceased by her Father Robert, Brother Trevor, and Sister Jacqueline.

Jodi was born in Pinawa Manitoba on December 17th, 1970 where she enjoyed life with her family and friends. At 19yrs old she moved to Winnipeg and continued her education at Red River College. She embarked on a career with the Winnipeg Police Service as an Identification Technician and later on with the Technical Surveillance Unit. Jodi met many great friends and co-workers during her tenure.

In June 1995, Jodi married Ray and they had two great daughters. Jodi deeply loved her daughters and was always very proud of them. The family lived in West St. Paul where she enjoyed tending to her flower beds and large garden while canning pickles, relish, and salsa. She was an excellent pastry baker and cook as she had her little "Perogy" empire and prepared many meals for large family holiday gatherings. She especially enjoyed the Otto Family reunions held in Gladstone.

She loved camping with the family at West Hawk Lake, the Black Hills the Dells and travelled to many places such as California, Las Vegas, Florida, Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Maarten and Bonaire. Her outdoor activities included cycling, cross country skiing, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.  She had a dream-filled moment when a shark bumped into her while scuba diving. Jodi had a great zest for life and for the people she knew.

A heartfelt thank-you to Sandra Bellingham for all her help and support, and all of Jodi's friends like Renee, Tracey, Brenda, Donna and many others, as well as the Winnipeg Police Association and Winnipeg Police Service.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
