Karen Desrochers was born April 12th, 1955 and passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on Monday, May 25th, 2026 at the age of 71, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.    Karen leaves behind her loving husband, Chris Desrochers; her sons Jeff (Chelsey), Daniel (Carrie), and Matthew (Tiffany); and her grandchildren, Malone and Lennox.

Karen found happiness in life's simple pleasures — quiet days with Chris at Victoria Beach, tending to her flowers, getting lost in a good book, mastering games on her phone, and enthusiastically unwrapping presents no matter the occasion. Time spent with family was always her favourite. She will be lovingly remembered for her quick wit, playful banter, generous heart, and perfectly timed smart remarks that could make anyone laugh.

Our family is deeply grateful to the compassionate Palliative Care Team at Riverview Health Centre for the kindness, comfort, and care they provided to Karen and all of us during her final days.  A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
