Katherine (Kay) Swack

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother at home with her three children by her side on May 18, 2020.

Left to mourn her passing are; daughters Yvonne (Tom) Mitchell, Irene (Bob) Wilson, son Terry (Linda) Swack; her greatest pride and joy, her five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Michael Swack of 52 years.

Katherine was born January 26, 1924. She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church Women’s League and enjoyed bingo and perogy making at the church. She took pride in her gardening and cooking for her family. Together with her husband, she enjoyed travelling and spending time at their cottage in Grand Marais.

Due to Covid19 regulations, a private family service was held Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Korban Funeral Chapel with interment at Brookside Cemetery following the service with Father Isidore of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church.

The family expresses sincere thanks to Dr. T. Babick for his special care.
