Linda Lench Obituary

Linda Jane Lench

Nee: Scully

On January 9, 2024 Linda Jane Lench nee Scully went home to the Lord at 77 years of age.

Linda was born on August 23, 1946 in St. Boniface to Alice and Maurice Scully.  Linda was a loving sister to her three brothers Gerry, Bill and her twin Larry, who she shared a very special bond with.  At the age of six, Linda met Paulette and they remained life long friends.  Linda had a heart of gold; she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.  Linda was a woman of strong faith, loving the Lord and the Catholic Church.

In 1966 Linda married her beloved Henri Vandale, who entered into eternal rest in June 4 2007.  Linda stood faithfully by Henri’s side as he built a business, raised their three children, Michel, Brian and Tracy, and served their church and community in Winnipeg and later in the Grand Marais area.  Linda and Henri loved to bowl, dancing, cross-country ski, pick berries, spend time at the lake and travel, with Mexico being their special place.

Linda was fortunate to find a second love during her life with Don Lench, who she married in November 12 2012.  Don and Linda resided in Traverse Bay where Linda liked to bird watch, feed the deer and live in the peacefulness of the country.  Linda loved her extended family with Don. Gordon & Trish, James & Anna and granddaughter Scarlett. Linda and Don enjoyed travelling to Texas during the winter months where they would gather in fellowship with other snowbirds. Linda volunteered at Walter White school with the students.

Although Linda has departed, a piece of her heart will forever remain within her husband Don, son Brian, daughter Tracy (Russell Kampic), grandchildren Ashley (James Owen), Kristoffer, Jasmine and great-grandchildren Alanah-Rose and Blake.

She is survived by sisters in law Kathleen Scully, Irma Mazurkiewich, Mercedes Vandale and brother in Law Jerry Vandale (Jeannine) and her special Daughter in law Dale
