On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, Mary Lorraine Charr, passed peacefully.
She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Alvin Allen Charr, on April 5, 2020.
She was survived by her two children, Laura and Curtis (wife Gisele), five grandchildren, Ginelle, Genadyne, Alexa, Ashley and Joshua, and her adorable new granddaughter, Nova.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She stayed passionate about her art and enjoyed attending regular classes and joining other activities with her friends at Dakota House.
Her final days were spent at Riverview Health Centre and the family would like to thank the staff for their kindness and gentle care during her brief stay.
She (mom/nanny) was deeply loved and will truly be missed as she moves on to take her place beside her husband (dad/papa). Her opinion about right and wrong was steadfast and the advice she gave was purposeful and imparted with love. She will be remembered for her stoicism, strength of character and the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her cheerful “hello” when you called and her distinctive, genuine laugh (even at her husband’s endless jokes) will echo in our hearts for eternity. Throughout our lives, she was “always” there, always putting family first.
A private family memorial was held on Friday, August 25, 2023.
