It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Melvin Horner, in Winnipeg on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 90.
He was predeceased by his wife Katherine, who he was lovingly married to for 67 years.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Wayne (Dianna), Debbie, his grandchildren Vanessa, Nick, Colin & Brendan (Lindsay) and his great grandchildren Kinsley, Makenna and Maya.
Melvin was an avid sports fan, loved playing crib, and enjoyed all forms of music especially Jazz and Blues. His love of music spread to teaching himself to play the piano and keyboards.
Melvin and Katherine took pride in their home and their garden and would host family and friends.
A service for Melvin will be held on June 28th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Kildonan Community Church 2373 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
