Michael Castillo

Michael Cudal Castillo, a 46-year-old from Laguna Philippines passed away on May 13, 2022. He passed away in Saint Boniface Hospital due to Severe Pulmonary Blastomycosis. A very rare and deadly fungal disease.

Michael also known as Mike or Pickles was born in Laguna, the Philippines with his parents, Manolito Castillo and Lutgarda Cudal. Mike was the second youngest in the Castillo family together with his siblings, Jun as the eldest, Marilyn and Melanie Castillo.

As a teen, he loved spending his time watching movies and playing basketball. As he got older, he attended San Pablo College to study Computer Science.

In his teen, he met Noreen and they became friends, he courted her but during that time Noreen told him that they'd be better as friends. After long 10 years, they met again and they fell in love. Within 1 year they had started a family, complete with Mikhal Castillo and 14 years later they had Mikhaila Castillo. As a family, they loved spending their time with other family members here in Winnipeg. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Mike and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly love his family.

The funeral service will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel on May 21, 2022, from 7 pm to 8 pm. There will be a visitation at the exact location beginning at 5 pm to 10:30 pm. His family will be present to welcome loved ones.
