Olga Tchir Obituary

It was with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Tchir on Sunday, March 6, 2022. However, we rejoice in that she has gone to heaven to be with her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Olga was born in Winnipeg and worked as a secretary for Agriculture Canada Retiring in 1994.

Throughout most of her life, Ollie shared her time between family in Winnipeg and the weekly visits to her parents and family in Hazelridge, Manitoba.

She loved to travel and made trips to the United States, Cuba, Europe and throughout Canada.

Ollie was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #146 (Springfield).

In later years she moved to Lion’s Manor where she was involved with activities such as resident entertainment and fundraisers. Her true joy was being involved with the rooftop flower garden where she spent countless hours of her time.

With declining health, Ollie moved to the personal care ward of Lions Manor. The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Staff of Lions Manor for the years of care and compassion they showed her.

Olga was predeceased by her parents Mary and Harry; sisters Anne, Rose, and Nettie; and brothers Peter and Nicholas.

She will always be remembered by her nieces Samantha-Jane and Donna; nephews Robert, Jim, David, and Norman; as well as her dear friend Jennifer.

Olga was also a great Aunt and a great-great Aunt.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bridges For Peace Canada.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
