OLGA WERHUN

1922-2020

Peacefully, on June 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family, Olga Werhun passed away at Holy Family Home.  Olga was born March 3, 1922 in Truskawiec, Ukraine.

Olga was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, of 58 years; her sisters Maria, Stephania and brothers Mychajlo, Stefan and Ivan.  She is survived by her children, John (Jeanne), Steve (Valerie), Mary (Mike); her adored grandchildren, John Jr (Sheri), Jason, Jeffrey, Cherie (Chrissy), Jennifer (Jim), Michael (Heidi), Matthew and Marie; her precious great-grandchildren, Evan, Samuel, Marshall, Isabelle, Lily and Mikael; niece Marta Romaniuk-Dlugosh (George).

The family wishes to thank Dr Andrea Babick for providing excellent medical care and the wonderful staff from 3A unit at Holy Family for their loving care, special thank you to HCA Olga.

Pallbearers will be John Werhun Jr, Jason Werhun, Jeffrey Werhun, Mike Masserey, Michael Masserey and Matthew Masserey.  Honorary Pallbearers John Werhun and Steve Werhun.

Private Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 250 Jefferson Avenue.  Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.  If desired in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Society 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2.

We will all miss you Mom, Baba.  You dedicated your life to our family and enjoyed special relationships with each of us.  We will cherish all the wonderful memories.  Forever Loved, Forever Remembered.
