Olive Mary Kotak
June 8, 1922 ~ April 15, 2024, Aged 101

Olive Kotak of Winnipeg (formerly of Dauphin) passed away on Monday April 15, 2024.

Olive was born on June 8, 1922 in Dauphin to Stanley and Alice (Kozar) Buchy. She lived in Gilbert Plains and attended Markham School. She married Peter Kotak in Dauphin on July 27, 1946. Together they farmed in Gilbert Plains until moving to Dauphin in 1956.

She is survived by daughters Diane (Norm), and Janice (Brian); daughter-in-law Jacquie; grandchildren Clarke (Catherine), Heather, Tracy, Nikki (Colin), Brad (Bobbi); great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Olivia, Azalyn and Jack. Also survived by sister Adeline (Jack), sister-in-law Shirley, brother-in-law Walter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Olive was predeceased by her husband Peter; son Ernest; grand daughter Jennifer; sisters Mae (Tony), Helen (Steve), Nettie (Bill); brothers Ernie, Morris, Bill (Anne), Nick (Julia) and Pete (Mary).

The family would like to thank the staff, especially Gemma, at the Waverly Rosewood for the great care they gave Olive, and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion in her last days.
