Phulmatie Sandra (Ramkalawan) Fernando

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phulmatie Sandra, mother and grandmother, on June 19, 2021 at 10:20am.

Phulmatie was born in Trinidad and Tobago on January 18, 1951.

She immigrated to Canada in 1970.  She met and married Christie Fernando.

Phulmatie operated a Day Care out of her home and enjoyed 28 years of caring and nurturing many children.

A devoted wife and mother to her late husband Christie Fernando, Son Marlin (Lindsay), Daughter Amintha, Son Roshan (Anna) and 4 grandchildren: Nishan, Brianna, Alexander, Aria.

Her family was her pride and joy always lifting them up in prayer.

She is predeceased by her husband, Christie Fernando, her dad and mom Cyril and Hilder Ramkalawan and brother Kenneth Ramkalawan.

She is survived by 2 sisters; Kamal Singh (Kumar)Toronto, Baby Ramlakhan Trinidad, and sister-in-law Leela Ramkalawan Trinidad, and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Gisele and Edith for their friendship and help over the years.

Interment will take place at a later date.
