It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Reg at Seven Oaks Hospital on Monday, May 12, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter in 1979 and Mary in 2010.
A beloved brother, uncle, great uncle and friend, he is survived by his brother Robert (Sandra), nephew Rodney (Jennifer), niece Richelle (Braden), grandnieces Isley and Brielle and grandnephew Everett.
Reg was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the North End and then in Garden City. It was during high school at Tec Voc that his love for fixing cars began. His early career
as an insurance adjuster led him to starting his own contracting business.
Reg purchased his first home on St. John’s Avenue. Reg was very proud of the many renovations he did in this home and the quality of his work. Soon after, Reg moved out
to Lockport where he contracted and built his next home and workshop. Later, Reg moved back home to help mom and remained living there until his passing.
Reg loved animals. His cat Shadow, his dog Boots and our dog Lexi were shown much love.
Reg was always willing to help anyone who needed it, often dropping whatever he was doing. He liked to offer advice, suggesting you do things this way to make it easier or
better, usually helping you to save money.
Reg never married and enjoyed spending time with family. He always talked about the fond memories of the many family trips to the farm and his love for his Saskatchewan
family.
Rodney and Shelly (Reg’s nickname for Richelle), were the apple of his eye. Hearing them learn to call him Uncle was one of his greatest joys. He always took a lot of interest in what they were doing. They would always stop by and have a coffee with uncle. Reg loved his coffee! Reg also loved the frequent meals at Sals with them.
A special thank you to our long-time neighbor Marilyn for her thoughtfulness and friendship, his Home Care family and Seven Oaks Hospital for the exceptional care of our brother and uncle.
Reg will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
In keeping with Reg’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
