It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of RICHARD EMMANUEL HARRISON beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend on December 30th, 2025. He leaves to mourn his wife of 38 years Maggie, his son Nicholas (Dayna), grandsons Jeremy and Logan and brothers and sisters.
Richard was born June 9th, 1947 in Kenora ON and grew up in Sioux Narrows. His passion was fishing, curling, all sports and especially travelling and cruising with his wife and friends. Richard's life was grounded in gratitude, loyalty, hard work and unwavering love for his family and dear friends.
He devoted his entire career to the sales, moving and relocation business and retired as Sales Manager from Portage Cartage & Storage/Quick Transfer in 2012. He formed lifelong friendships with coworkers who became more like family - relationships built on mutual respect, humour, and camaraderie that enriched his life immeasurably.
In sobriety, Richard rebuilt a life of compassion and service. His life revolved around his contribution to the fellowship of recovery.
Known for his steady presence and generous heart, Richard was always the first to lend a helping hand or listening ear. He was the rock of our family - quietly dependable, endlessly patient and full of kindness.
Richard lived a full life and was grateful for God's blessings. When he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in February of this year, he was prepared to meet his Maker.
Service is being held Saturday January 10th at 11 AM at Korban's Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street, Winnipeg MB. This service will be live streamed.
Donations in Richard's name may be made to Union Gospel or Ukrainian Canadian Committee-war effort or a charity of your choice
