With a career in liquor and wine sales spanning over 40 years, Rick was known for his professionalism, humour, and ability to connect with anyone he met.
Sports played a huge part in Rick’s life. From his early days at Margaret Park, to traveling to Texas with Interstrike, to playing for the University of Winnipeg Wesmen, and later with Winnipeg Thistle, soccer was one of his greatest passions. He also enjoyed golf and was a proud member of the Platinum Jets.
A loyal and lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, Rick never gave up hope for their Super Bowl win — a true testament to his optimism and unwavering spirit.
Rick treasured the many friendships he built throughout his life — from teammates and colleagues to lifelong friends who became family. His warmth, humour, and loyalty touched everyone who knew him, and those friendships will be deeply missed.
He also shared a special bond with his dogs, Nikki and Memphis, who were constant companions and a source of joy and comfort.
Our family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Dr. Abbott and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for the loving and thoughtful care given to Rick
