Robert Hrechka

Robert George Hrechka 
March 20, 1956 - January 30, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Hrechka.

Robert will be greatly missed by his wife Carol and his sons Mason and Madison. He will be fondly remembered as Bobby by his siblings: Michael (Melodie), Gerald (Debbie), Marlene (Paul) Willems, Christina (Kerry) Boswell, and sister-in-law Rhonda. He was predeceased by his father John, his mother Lillian and stepfather Joe Bugera, and his brother Gordon. 

Bobby grew up on a farm in Arbakka. In his early twenties, he worked in the city for a few years before moving with the family to the old Mazeppa schoolhouse. He worked at various jobs in the Vita area and helped mom around home until he met his wife. Bob and Carol married in 1996 and moved to Vita where they raised their boys. He worked locally in the pork industry. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, puttering around the yard, and fishing.

Robert shared kindness with everyone in his life, always willing to help someone in need. A gentle soul, he always seemed happy and enjoyed a good laugh. Bobby had a special chuckle that we will always remember. 
 

 A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
