Robert Keillor Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Donald Kitchener Keillor announce his passing on March 11th, 2026, in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 70.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, father, older brother, older sister, as well as his youngest step daughter.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Georgina Keillor, his dear friend Viola, sister-in-law Margaret Keillor, brother-in-law Danny Stanik, his 2 step children, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Robert was born on August 3rd 1955, in Winnipeg Manitoba.  He grew up in Point Douglas and graduated grade 12 from R. B. Russell Vocational School.

In 1985, he married his loving wife Georgina and spent their years together in various homes around the Winnipeg area.

Robert loved his career as a courier, especially at Western Messenger where he could be seen cycling around the city on his beloved bike.  Unfortunately, in 1993, due to an accident he had to retire from cycling.   He then continued his love of the courier business by joining the Winnipeg Sun by delivering the morning papers.  He also took great pride in his job as duty officer at Sir Sam Steele Legion for several years.

Robert adored the outdoors, especially hiking in the wilderness, where he would keep his watchful eye out for wildlife, deer and wolves.  He LOVED animals, especially his pets, taking care of various cats and dogs throughout his life.

Robert was also an amazing dancer, and a lover of darts and pool, which he enjoyed immensely as he frequented his beloved legion.   As well as being an avid lover of the Goldeyes, he frequented many of their games.

A memorial service in Robert's honour will happen at a later date.

Robert, you will be forever loved, and very deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
