Rose Fegus Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Fegus announce her peaceful passing on December 8, 2025 at the age of 95. Rose is finally joining the love of her life, husband Lorne, who passed away in 1973.

Rose was predeceased by her sister Helen (Bud Hambleton) and brother Walter Dresna (Joan), along with special friends Mike, Vince and Amanda Tycholas and Bruce Kozoriz, as well as many dear friends over the years.  She is survived by nieces Leslie, Cory (Gordon), Maureen, Karen and nephew Kelly (Sue), along with their children and grandchildren.  Rose was especially fond of her great-great niece Lily with whom she shared a special relationship. She will be dearly missed by friend Lorraine and the Tycholas family, especially her "granddaughter" Krista.

Rose was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario September 7, 1930. Life was not easy but she and her siblings survived and thrived. She and Lorne were married in October 1948 and enjoyed many adventures together until his untimely death at the age of 47.

Rose enjoyed a 25 year career at the City of Winnipeg, where she made many lifetime friends. For many years Rose was active in the Ladies Auxiliaries at Holy Family and St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Churches, making perogies and helping with bingos among other things.  Rose made friends easily and will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre, ward 3E, who looked after Rose in her last weeks. Your gentle care and kindness will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of ones choice in honour of Rose.
