Sherwin Jacques

Unexpectedly, Sherwin passed on September 5. He leaves to mourn his parents, Arsène and Anna; sisters Sabrina (Jonathon), and Amanda (Bryant); nieces & nephews, Jamayia, Jhyelle, Rishayla, Braylen, Zakhari, and Simone; a host of relatives and innumerable friends across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. 

Sherwin was born on September 11, 1982, a mere seven minutes before his twin, Amanda. Curiosity struck at an early age, leading him to dismantle toys and household gadgets to explore how they worked, except that he was as swift with the reassembly.

He loved playing outside with neighbourhood friends, but would quickly run indoors if a bee or moth appeared. 

His love for weightlifting began in his teen years, when gifted with his first five-pound dumbbell. He’d sit in front of the mirror, repeatedly lifting and posing, while praying his muscles into existence. 

Before settling into his most recent career, Sherwin worked in a variety of industries. Though many years have passed since, whenever he’d walk through a mall, former co-workers and acquaintances would still call out warm greetings.

A favourite highlight of his life was working at Exchange Technology Services. Sherwin enjoyed interacting with his colleagues while navigating through the challenges of computer networking. He relished the opportunities for travel and was excited for the responsibilities that came with each new role he was assigned. 

Sherwin is fondly remembered as a charming, passionate, and independent person. He was fond of documentaries about the Bible, loved the gym and eating out, and was a big fan of superhero movies. He was a big fan of Superman, which became his nickname from many.

The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support from their church family, “The Boys”, and the staff of Exchange Technology Services for their care of Sherwin.
