Stephania Zenewych was born on October 27th, 1924 in Hrymailiw Ukraine to Julia and Ivan Kaminsky. Stephania had ambitions to become a pharmacist. But when the Soviets began to approach Western Ukraine in 1944, she fled westward with many young people. Among them was her future husband, Hryhorij Zenewych. They were married in Germany and later sponsored to come to Canada, to Winnipeg. Here, Stephania and her husband were very involved with the Ukrainian Community. Stephania died at Holy Family Home on November 22, 2022. Finally, she can go home.
