Valdomira Bezruk Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valdomira Bezruk (nee Tchmola). After a lengthy illness we have lost the matriarch of our family. Valdomira leaves to mourn her nephew(son) Walter and his wife Brenda and their 2 sons Sean (Bryann) and Jonathan, nephew Jerry and his wife Kim and their son Halen, nephew Vitorio and wife Julia, niece Emilia and her husband Augusto and family, brother in law Bill Bezruk, niece Zina and her daughter Chloe(Ian), and many dear family members in Brasil. Valdomira was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2001, her sisters Paulina 1948, Hanka 1958,  and Maria 1980.
Valdomira immigrated to Canada in 1969 to be with her last remaining sister Maria. Here she met Walter Bezruk who she married in 1970. Everyone that knew her knows that her passion was her yard and garden but her true passion was giving. Giving to others gave her the greatest joy. She lost her 3 sisters while they were young and all had young children which she helped raise to the best of her abilities. Through her whole life she never stopped giving to others in any way she could. Especially food, she loved to cook and share her food with anyone who was hungry. She loved children and they were always drawn to her. She was an amazing cook and always put on a big delicious meal during the holidays and any chance she could. Her perogies and cabbage rolls could be in the Hall of fame!
She especially enjoyed her time with her great nephews Sean and Jonathan who she watched over any chance she could get. While never having children of her own, she knew the true riches in life were children. In February she had a visit from her great niece Adriana and husband Efrem and their daughters Camilla and Pamela which was the highlight of her last year with us. We are very thankful to them for coming to see her and brightening her days. A special thanks to Andy and Jeanette Dudych for all the help they have given her during her lengthy illness. We would also like to thank her dear friend Isabella Da Mata for all her help and friendship. A special thank you to Father Isadore for his many home visits which she always looked forward to. He always brightened her day. Many thanks as well to all the staff at Riverview personal care home for the care given to her in her final few months.
