Volodymyr Kovalyov

Volodymyr died peacefully, at the age of 89, in the arms of his wife and children on  October 17th, 2023 at their home after a courageous battle with incurable disease.

Volodymyr was born on February 26th, 1934 in Russia.

He graduated from Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute and became an electrical engineer.

Throughout his career in Russia and Ukraine, he was an efficient employee and a good colleague for his associates.

In 1959 Volodymyr was happily married to Albina Kazanova who was his life friend for more than 64 years at the time of his death. Volodymyr had 3 children, 6 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Besides spending time with his family, Volodymyr had a passion for gardening, watching sporting events and solving word searches. Volodymyr was known for his readiness to help people.

He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a farewell ceremony on Thursday, October 19th at 5 p.m. at the Korban Funeral Chapel located at 907 Main St., Winnipeg, MB.
