Armande Desmarais (nee Carriere)

January 3, 1950 – August 16, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Armande Desmarais on August 16, 2019 by her husband’s side.  Armande was predeceased by her parents Armand and Jeanne Carriere of St. Pierre Jolys and her brother Normand.  Armande will be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Guy, son Maurice (Janice), daughter Chantal (Alain), grandchildren Sylvie (Dylan) and Eric as well as her great grandson Brody.  Also left to cherish her memory are Armande’s brothers and sisters: Roger (Roberta) Carriere, Dolores (Germain) Roy, Pauline (Bryan) Korol, Jocelyne (Ed) Hodgert, Robert (Pauline) Carriere, Annette (Guy) Bouvier and their families as well as her sister-in-law Ginette Desmarais Carriere and family. She will be missed by many friends.

Born on January 3, 1950 in St. Pierre Jolys, Armande was the fifth child of eight and was always happy and full of life when surrounded by family and friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held on August 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Pierre Bible Fellowship Church, 488 Lavoie Street, St. Pierre Jolys. 

The family would like to thank the Paramedics and the staff at Bethesda Hospital.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
