Elsie Polos (nee Tkachuk)

Peacefully, on February 16, 2019 at the Kildonan Personal Care Home, Elsie passed away at the age of 92.

She was predeceased by her husband Ken, parents Mary and John Tkachuk, brothers Billy and Nick and sister Rose (Galawan)

Elsie was born in Calder Saskatchewan and grew up with her family, who farmed and ran the town’s General Store.  She later moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Ken of 55 years.  She was a stay at home mom and then later went on to work. Her most recent jobs before retirement were at the Knowles Centre and the Rossmere Golf & Country Club.  She loved working with people, spending time with family and friends and enjoyed travelling to different places.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Warren (Ianna) of Kamloops and daughters Cheryl & Carla of Winnipeg; grandson Ian Polos and many nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of her precious life will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Kildonan Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they provided.

Thank you, mom, for your support and help.  You were always strong, full of love and everything a Mother should be.  You will be forever in our hearts.  May the angels carry you to Heaven to be eternally reunited with your loved ones.
