Johanna “Joey” Pearl Johannson (nee Coghill)

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother and Amma, January 2, 2020, at the age of 104. She was predeceased by her husband Sveinn, parents Oli and Valla, sisters and brother; Olive, Mabel and Marino, son Ivan and daughter in-law Dorothy. She will be very deeply missed by her family; sons Barry (Barbara), Richie, daughter in-law Barb and many grand-children, nieces and nephews. Joey was a dedicated and caring Wife, Mother, Amma, Sister, Aunt, friend and an avid sports fan. She was very proud of her Sons and her extended family. Always remaining curious, passionate and concerned about the lives of those she loved, both near and far. Thank you to staff at the River-East Care Home for their care and kindness in her last years. In keeping with Joey’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
