It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle on Sept 23/2021. Allan J McDougall born March 15/1948 lost his long battle with Cancer.
Allan was predeceased by his parents Alice and Alexander, Sisters June, Lorette & Shirley.
Allan will be sadly missed by daughter Sherry, son Allister ( Tanya ), Grandchildren, Jorden Justine and Jade, Ex-wife Elma, Sisters, Lorraine & Terry, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Allan was a kind and caring man with many self-taught talents mostly known for his painting. He was truly a "MacGyver" and a master of only one. DAD!
From humble beginnings found himself in a relationship at a young age with his love our mother, struggling to get by with two kids, they made the best out of it that they knew how. He provided for his family and made some mistakes along the way. He loved being with his family and friends playing cards, fishing, camping, and sitting around a fire playing guitar. At a young age, we have fond memories of him as a hockey coach, ringette spectator with a passion for art, painting Spiderman on our living room wall. He took to woodworking building a mini table and chairs for a girl’s tea party and sword and shield for a young boy’s imagination of joining the Battle of Castle Grayskull to making a go-cart for ripping up and down the back lane. He also took to his Metis culture by dancing at folklorama in powwows, painting indigenous wildlife, and creating jewelry leading up to his own business of McDougall Arts. He always dreamed of becoming famous for his artwork but not quite achieving that status. We told him we were his best masterpieces. You did a great job dad. We will love you and miss you forever!!
Our family would like to say a special thanks to Tom for lending an ear.
