Barbara Bachewich Obituary

Once again in the hands of God and our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Barbara Ann Bachewich on November 19, 2018 at the age of 54. Born in Altona, MB on October 22, 1964.

Barb was always a very private individual when it came to her personal life and never wanted anyone to fuss over her in life, or in death. Barb only ever wanted people to treat one another with respect and dignity, and to love and be loved. Words truly cannot describe the kind, caring and compassionate person that Barb was, always looking out to help others and many times sacrificing her own good or well-being in order to do so. Her graciousness & beautiful personality always shone through and everyone with whom she met took an instant liking to Barb. Very empathetic to others’ feelings Barb was always the first to console or reach out, to lend a helping hand to someone in need and be there in times of trouble or strife. She knew how to speak softly and would listen intently to deeply understand others’ pain and suffering and would then gently ease those troubles or worries away. Barb too had worries and concerns but often hid them from others so that she could continue to push on and be the one for others to lean on.

With very strong christian beliefs, Barb was a shining light in many a storm and seemed to effortlessly draw people into herself with a calming effect that most people found awe inspiring. Over the years many remarks had been made that people could see Barb’s aura or halo, and in one of the pictures here of Barb it was captured on film. A truly wonderful & remarkable individual whose heart kept giving and giving, even if there was nothing left to give. Barb always thought of others before herself and her generosity and manner is a model for how we should all treat each other.

Barb’s love of life was also reflected in her tremendous love for her cats, and also for all living creatures. Barb is now at peace with God in heaven and reunited with all those souls that passed before her that she loved and that loved her as well. Barb would want us to rejoice knowing that she is at peace with God in heaven. The grief & sorrow felt by those closest to Barb is hard to bear but Barb would want us to look insightfully to ourselves and hopefully improve our way of life and at the same time accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior just as she had.

Barb was pre-deceased by her father Rudy Bachewich and is survived by her husband Graham Konrad of 37 Years, her mother Lillian Bachewich, brother Brad and his wife Karen and their children Jessica, Pamela, Lisa and Michael, sister Brenda Douglas and her husband Bill and their children Alaina (niece) Douglas and Eleesha (niece) Ling with her husband Curtis and son Kanen, Sister Kim Gama, Ryan (nephew) and Keren Gama, Vanessa (niece) and Jeremy Hebert, and sisters Lori Bachewich and Debra Bachewich.
