David John Bodykevich
(18 November 1957 – 13 August 2020)
David John Bodykevich was born 18th November 1957, the first son to Frances and Metro. He is predeceased by his brother, Constantine. David was a bright, energetic youngster, loving adventure and always inquisitive.
His family’s move to Eriksdale, MB brought opportunities for David to discover his love for the outdoors, for nature, exploring, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing.
He attended St Vladimir’s College in Roblin, MB completing his high school at River East.
David loved life and embraced challenges. He was meticulous in word and deed. He changed careers, going from entrepreneur, performing precision work on airplane propellers, long haul trucker, barber and finally, tool and die machinist, to name a few.
He had recently retired and was loving the time he now had to do whatever he liked, whenever he liked, going for a long drive, looking in on his folks, landscaping his yard, gardening, finishing the woodwork projects he had started. He was a keen photographer, archer. He loved music, played guitar as well as enjoying his music collection. He valued motorcycles as well as sports cars.
David was a wonderful brother, son, nephew, cousin. . . A protector by nature, he was the kind of man to have your back. His grace, thoughtfulness and sharp humour will be missed. David will live on in the hearts of all that know and love him.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
