Kelly Irvine

It is with great sadness we share with you the sudden loss of Kelly Irvine on Wednesday May 29th, 2019.  Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle. He is predeceased by his sisters Sharon and Terry and his nephew Vinson. He will be dearly missed by his children Brenna (Ben), Becky (Brian) and Kelly Jr. (Kendra); his grandchildren, Kenlie, Reid and Max; his sisters Linda (Frank) and Nancy (John); many loving nieces and nephews and very dear friends.

Kelly was born September 10, 1961 to parents Alfred and Gladys Irvine whom he loved dearly. Those who knew Kelly knew him to be a man with a good, generous heart, quick wit and natural talent for storytelling. He lived a life rich with experience; a man not afraid to live in extremes or embark on new adventures. Whether he was braving the northern ice roads, navigating highways across North America or battling the congestion of Winnipeg's construction season, Kelly spent much of his life mapping destinations and making it on time.

He was a life-long Toronto Maple Leafs fan, a devoted member of his hockey pool and retired spongee goal-tender. He had an uncanny memory for significant dates, sports statistics, and movie trivia. He leaves behind a sizable movie collection and copious hand-authored pages of hockey pool records dating back to the 1980's.

Kelly never hung up after the first goodbye, never came to a gathering empty handed and was never to be disturbed on Sunday mornings as he drank tea and caught up on Coronation Street.

Although Kelly, 57 was taken far too early, none could argue that he didn't always strive to live life on his own terms. He will be deeply missed.

Our family would like to thank his friends and acquaintances for their compassion and support during this difficult time. Words cannot properly express our gratitude for those who helped enrich and share in the story of his life. For all of you, we are truly grateful.

Services will be held at Korban's Funeral Home, 907 Main Street, Wednesday June 5th, 2019 at 1:00 pm with reception to follow.
