Marianne Slusarenko​
June 23, 1954 - May 2, 2020​​

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.​
Mom went peacefully in her home in the evening of Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 65 years of age. ​​
Marianne was born on June 23, 1954 in St. Pierre, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents: John and Teenie Kwasnicki, her sister Patricia, daughter Melanie, grand-daughter Calista and great grand-daughter Leta. ​​
Marianne will be remembered fondly by her daughter Michelle, grandchildren Brittany, Tyler, Tess, Taya, Nakota, great-grandson Joseph, and son-in-law Steve. She also leaves behind sisters Delores (Ernest), Karen (Dennis), Andrea (Kevin), her brother Ivan (Monique), and brother in law Wally (Cheryl); as well as many nieces and nephews. ​
​She grew up on the family farm in Tolstoi, Manitoba. Marianne attended Shevechenko School in Vita, Manitoba. Upon completion of high school she moved to Winnipeg.​
​Marianne took pride in raising her daughters.​
For the past 32 years she was employed by the Winnipeg School Division as an Educational Assistant. She worked at various schools, including Garden Grove, Meadows West, Inkster Park, and lastly Norquay School. ​
​Mom had a love for cooking & baking. She was the heart of her family. Mom enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, trips to Las Vegas with her daughter, and weekend shopping getaways.​
​Marianne had many friends & colleagues, and will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.​​
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. ​
​In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or a charity of your choice.
