She leaves to mourn her children, Tonia Storoschuk, Therese (Gordon) Porter, Pat (Maurice) Tkachuk, and son, Garry. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Pam (Scott) Storoschuk, Rick (Christine) Storoschuk, Roger (Stacy) Storoschuk, Deanna (Tim) Jablonski, Hillary Porter, Corey Gaetz, and Julie Gaetz. Her great grandchildren include Taylor, Jaycee, and Nathan Storoschuk, Jesse, Owen, and Haley Jablonski, Cole, Graeson, and Nash Tkachuk. She also leaves to mourn her sister, Francis (Casey) Syncora. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Wasyl Tymkiw, husband Walter Gaetz, son Brian, and grandson, Derek Tkachuk, son-in-law Bob Storoschuk, and brother, Mike Tymkiw.
In 1998, Pauline and Bill moved from the Tolstoi area after realizing they needed to downsize and relocated to Vita. There she spent her time gardening, volunteering, quilting, spending time with friends, and of course, cooking for family and friends. Pauline was always busy doing something because she could never be idle. There was always something to do or somewhere to go.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11 am at the Korban Funeral Chapel in Vita. Viewing will take place an hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery near Tolstoi.
Thank you to the staff at Bethesda Health Centre and a special thank you goes out to the nursing staff at the Vita and District Health Centre for the care and attention they gave Pauline.
